Transfer Scholarship
The Transfer Student Scholarship is an annual award exclusively for UCLA transfer students, made possible by generous support from the UCLA Transfer Student Center, transfer alumni, and transfer student allies. This scholarship celebrates your academic journey and helps support your success as a valued member of our Bruin community.
Each year, the scholarship is announced near the end of Fall Quarter. Typically, ten $2,000 scholarships are awarded (with two to three specifically for Non-Traditional Transfer Students aged 25 or older). Applications are thoughtfully reviewed by the Transfer Alumni Scholarship Review Board. Scholarship recipients are notified during Winter Quarter, and awards are distributed in Spring Quarter.
Eligibility Criteria
From previous year, subject to change:
- Enrolled as a full-time UCLA transfer student (all current transfers are eligible).
- Demonstrated financial need, as determined by Financial Aid and Scholarships.
- Good Academic Standing (minimum GPA of 2.0).
- Submission of original work in one of four mediums: writing, art, audio, or video.
- For submissions other than written work, include a brief written description.
