UCLA Sea Clear
The Southeast Asian Campus Learning Education and Retention (SEA CLEAR) Project at UCLA is a student-led retention program dedicated to supporting Southeast Asian (SEA) students, including transfer Bruins, throughout their academic journey. Our mission is to ensure all SEA Bruins feel seen, supported, and empowered from the moment they arrive at UCLA, especially those navigating the unique experience of transferring.
Through peer counseling, tailored mentorship, wellness initiatives, internships, and transfer-specific resources, SEA CLEAR offers comprehensive support to help SEA transfer students succeed academically, build community, and celebrate their identities.
Transfer students are warmly encouraged to become active in SEA CLEAR at any time during their UCLA experience. Peer counseling is available year-round, with internship opportunities offered quarterly:
- Fall Internship: Applications open at the start of Fall Quarter.
- Winter Internship: Applications open at the end of Fall Quarter.
- Spring Internship: Applications open at the end of Winter Quarter.
Mentorship programs and volunteer opportunities for Wellness, Transfer Support, and Peer Mentorship typically open in Fall and Winter. If you’re interested but miss an application deadline, please reach out directly via email (seaclearatucla@gmail.com) or Instagram (@uclaseaclear).
All SEA CLEAR services and events are open to all students, with special emphasis placed on supporting our transfer community. Join us to find your community, build meaningful connections, and participate in ongoing events throughout the year.
