Hi everyone! My name is Katie Torfeh and I am a senior, 2nd year transfer student from UCSB! I am a cognitive science major with a specialization in computing. Fun fact: MATLAB is my favorite programming language! I love cognitive science because of its interdisciplinary nature and how it contains a nice balance of STEM and humanities. In the future I’m hoping to become a pediatric psychologist and/or professor at a CC. Outside of academics, I absolutely love the arts. My hobbies include drawing and painting, dancing, playing music (guitar/piano/ukulele) and singing! Some of my favorite memories are late night jam sessions with my friends. I also like to explore new boba and coffee places and of course take pictures of them. I am also a big fan of Disney and Studio Ghlibli movies! I am so excited to be on the COMM Team this year and to serve and support the transfer community! Stop by the TSC and say hi!
